Field Trip!
Who doesn't love Autumn, right!? My top 10 fall faves, in no particular order are as follows:
1. The rich colors that paint the trees and the leaves that crunch under foot
2. Warm sunny days and crisp cool nights
3. Cuddling next to bonfires sharing spooky stories
4. Warm sweaters and cute boots
5. Lush orchards filled with juicy apples
6. Tart cider and sweet caramel apples
7. Carving jack o'lanterns
8. Halloween!
9. Pumpkin everything (especially donuts)
10. Fall photo shoots!
I think all of my 2018 Senior Model Reps would agree with me and that's why we held our group shoot at one of our favorite fall destinations, County Line Orchard. It has so many of the great things about the season all in one place.
I asked the girls to wear something casual with a fall feel. I might have said "wear fall colors", but they didn't need any more direction than that. Their looks were on point and complimented each other well while still maintaining their individuality. I also asked them to bring a second look. Since Halloween is around the corner I wanted them to wear all black from head to toe for an end of the day group shot. I had a plan for the flow of the day so I was able to capture a lot in a short amount of time. In between the individual portraits and group shots, I wanted to highlight the girls having fun and being themselves. I think their personalities really shine through in these images. I couldn't stop laughing...and clicking the shutter. I've loved getting to know my girls and truly enjoyed spending time with them these past few months. Their energy and laughter was infectious and I think we really captured everything we love about the season!
A quick shout out to two of my reps that couldn't make it; we missed you Hannah and Brianna!
While posing with the giant sunflowers, the sky darkened for a moment and we felt a couple raindrops but it never rained. However we did get a rainbow that arched overhead. How lucky!?!
The donuts at County Line are so good, you might want to dumpster-dive for them. (wink, wink..inside joke)
We lovingly call this look our "resting witch face". Ha!
Thanks again to all my senior models and my apprentice Shannon for hanging out and making this shoot extra fun!
